What’s On My Christmas Wish List

in Lifestyle on 12/01/17

It’s surprisingly hard to come up with a wish list for requesting family members when you shop for yourself weekly because you “deserve it” after just turning in an assignment on time or showing up for a non-required class lecture. Last night I ended up watching almost two hours of Christmas Wish List videos partially because I needed the inspiration, but also because they’re a bit addicting? I still don’t get how I can be so entertained watching someone put on their makeup or literally just drive around their city talking, but the vloggers have figured it out.

Christmas Wish List

Most of these items are in preparation for moving to Seattle next year, since I figured I’d get a head start on transitioning my wardrobe after 21 years in Texas. I’m struggling to keep myself from asking for apartment things because whatever I get is going to need to be moved out there, but y’all know how obsessed I am with apartment decor D:

Also pro tip: if you have several family members asking for your wish list, put it in a Google Doc. I feel embarrassingly millennial about this but now you can edit it whenever you need to (size/color/picture clarifications) and don’t have to mass email every grandparent/aunt/uncle you have!

Leather gloves
My fingers feel cold when it’s below 60 so I think these might be useful.

Black puffer jacket
I finally have an excuse to get one of these so I’m going for it. I know basically nothing about jackets and quality and warmth but I heard these are pretty great?

Super soft, super thick, super warm robe
I’m just imagining walking around my window-lit studio apartment at 8am and a robe would perfectly complete that picture.

Tan scuff slippers
Okay, the robe and these slippers.

External hard drive
I just have this fear that my laptop is going to die and my entire life will disappear with it, so it’s about time I start using one of these.

Pajama/loungewear sets
I spend almost half of my day in some sort of loungewear so these are always appreciated! There’s also something magical about wearing a matching sweatsuit that makes me more productive than even a regular outfit.

Long light gray cardigan
Long cardigans make me feel like I’m about to walk into a co-working space to grab a cup of on-tap cold brew and work on the about me page for my new startup. I really like this one from H&M.

Luggage tag + passport case
I’m heading to CancĂșn in January (!!!), so I actually have an excuse to get an Instagrammable passport case for the classic legs crossed suitcase in the background Lululemon leggings and fresh Nikes shot.

Black leather jacket
I feel like everyone who I think is in control of their life has one of these so??

Athletic tops
I’m just assuming my apartment complex next year will have or be near a gym that I will force myself to become a member of so this is the start of that motivation.

Anastasia dipbrow pomade
If it looks like I have eyebrows in my pictures, it’s entirely because of this stuff. I felt like I was being ripped off when I initially bought it after being pressured by an Ulta employee but this little jar has lasted me over 6 months!!

Cheese plate set
I know I said no apartment things but this can’t take up that much space.

Travel pillow
I never had a bad flight until this summer when I took a red-eye from Seattle to Austin and got stuck in the aisle seat after a 2 hour delay. I just sat there with my eyes closed (but not asleep) for 4. Hours. Because I cannot get comfy in an aisle seat. So here’s to hoping one of these will save the day (and my neck) in the future.

What’s something you’re most excited about putting on your wish list this year?
