National Parks Road Trip

in Travel on 07/18/16

I hardly ever write personal posts on here, but I took too many pictures to not share about where I’ve been the past two weeks! I’m basically just sharing my VSCO feed if you want a tldr version.

We started out by flying into Salt Lake City and driving to Grand Teton National Park! We stayed in a super cute cabin that was probably surrounded by bears.

After one night in the Tetons, we drove into Yellowstone. We stayed just outside the west entrance most of the week, and spent two nights in Canyon Village which is pretty much central Yellowstone. There was a ton of wildlife, although most of my photos ended up being of the gorgeous sunsets!

In total we spent five days in Yellowstone, which seemed like the perfect amount! On our drive to Seattle, we stopped in Mt. Rainier National Park for a night. We stayed at my favorite cabin of the trip, which was basically a hippie spa in the middle of a forest.

We spent the last two days of our trip visiting family and being tourists in Seattle, WA. It’s one of my favorite cities, and being able to visit it for the second time in a year was amazing! We visited the typical tourist spots like Pike Place Market, Kerry Park, and the Ballard Locks, along with the Starbucks Reserve Roastery. I definitely want to go back there again with some coffee loving friends someday!

Overall it was a fantastic trip! I’m definitely happy to be home and not basically living out of a car anymore, but it was nice to get off the grid for a bit and relax. Now I’m just trying to catch up on emails and get prepared for the fall semester! I’m finally moving into an apartment next month and I haven’t bought anything for it, so the next few weeks will be filled with trips to IKEA and Target.

If y’all like this personal style post, I’d love for you to let me know in the comments! I’ve never done a reader survey for this blog, so tbh I have no idea what y’all like seeing. And if you have any questions about any of the places I visited, I’d be happy to answer those too!
